Looking after it
Cold water, 30 degrees or below, hand wash or a gentle machine cycle in a mesh bag. Use a detergent with no enzymes and no bleach. Air dry out of direct sun and keep it out of the dryer. Iron on the lowest setting, on the reverse, if you iron it at all.

CHECK THEM BEFORE EVERY USE. Turn each mitten inside out and look for a loose thread. A thread wrapped around a finger is the real risk with any mitt, silk or cotton, and it is the reason this note is at the top of the page rather than the bottom.
