Looking after it
Cold water, 30 degrees or below, hand wash or a gentle machine cycle in a mesh bag. Use a detergent with no enzymes and no bleach. Air dry out of direct sun and keep it out of the dryer. Iron on the lowest setting, on the reverse, if you iron it at all.

The palest colour in the range apart from white. It shows marks more readily than the darker colours, which is worth knowing before you buy it for a child's bed.
The silk is the same on every colour we sell: 100 per cent mulberry, Grade 6A long fibre, woven to 22 momme. The colour is the only thing that changes.
It closes with a hidden zip rather than an envelope flap, so the pillow stays where you put it and there is nothing to tuck in at 11pm.
Fits a standard UK pillow at 51 cm by 76 cm. A king pillow will not fit, and we would rather say that here than on the returns page.
What a silk pillowcase does is reduce friction. Cotton grips hair and skin and drags a little every time you turn over, and a silk surface lets both slide. That is a property of the weave, not a treatment, and it is the honest version of everything else said about silk pillowcases.
The number that matters is momme, which is how silk is weighed rather than counted. Silk thread is too fine for a useful thread count, so a piece is weighed instead. At 22 momme this is a dense, heavy silk. Below about 19 a pillowcase wears through quickly, and much above 22 you are into curtain weight and lose the drape.

Care is the part people get wrong and it is simple. Cold water, no enzymes, no bleach, no dryer, dry in the shade. A mesh laundry bag makes a machine cycle safe. Treated that way a 22 momme case lasts years rather than seasons.
